Join Us for a Special Knitting Workshop to Warm the Elderly This Lunar New Year!
As Lunar New Year approaches, we invite you to join a knitting workshop where we'll create warm hats and scarves for local elders. This event is not only a great way to improve your knitting skills but also an opportunity to spread love and warmth. The entire workshop is free of charge, so sign up and be part of this meaningful activity! Let’s come together this New Year to show our care and bring joy to the elderly through handmade crafts. Event Details:
Eligibility: Open to NYCU faculty, staff, and students (maximum 50 participants)
Date & Time: Sunday, November 24, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Location: Room 603(A603), Comprehensive Building 1
Event Activities:
Knitting Lesson - Led by Ms. Mei-Hong from human science Center, this session will teach participants how to knit hats and scarves. All skill levels are welcome—whether you're a beginner or have knitting experience.
Materials Provided - All materials, including yarn and needles, will be provided. No need to bring anything!
Sharing Warmth - Finished creations will be donated to local elderly residents through the “Huashan social Welfare Foundation” during the New Year period, spreading warmth and care from all of us.
